12 Times Feyre Had Total BWE (Big Wingspan Energy)

From snaring the Suriel as a 19-year-old mortal to claiming her throne as the High Lady of the Night Court, Feyre Archeron never fails to deliver some major BWE (big wingspan energy) moments throughout Sarah J Maas’s A Court of Thorns and Roses series.

Well before she could even summon her own set of wings, our leading lady was giving Prythian’s deadliest creatures and most powerful High Lords a serious run for their money (literally and figuratively speaking). Not even the trauma of her transformation from human to High Fae could stop the courageous Cursebreaker from behaving like a total boss.

And while there were many moments to choose from, I narrowed it down to 12 different times Feyre had total BWE. Some are memorable and some are underrated, but they all combine to make her one brave, bold, and brilliant badass.

🦇 1. When she told Tamlin about snaring the Suriel

He shook his head. “You actually snared the Suriel. A human girl.” Despite myself, despite the afternoon, my lips twitched upward. “Is it supposed to be hard?”

A Court of Thorns and Roses, Chapter 16

Feyre was so Elle Woods coded in this scene (IYKYK) and I am so here for it. Also, anything involving the Suriel is automatically big big energy 😏

🦇 2. When she straight up dissed Amarantha on sight

There, lounging on a black throne, was Amarantha. Though lovely, she wasn’t as devastatingly beautiful as I had imagined, wasn’t some goddess of darkness and spite.

A Court of Thorns and Roses, Chapter 34

How savage was Feyre for this? She is literally standing in front of the most dangerously evil female in Prythian and her first thought is, “What a basic b***h” 😂

🦇 3. When she threw a shoe at the most powerful High Lord

One heartbeat, I was staring after him—the next, I had my shoe in a hand. I hurled it at him with all my strength. All my considerable, immortal strength. I barely saw my silk slipper as it flew through the air, fast as a shooting star, so fast that even a High Lord couldn’t detect it as it neared— And slammed into his head.

A Court of Mist and Fury, Chapter 5

This definitely goes down as one of Feyre’s greatest displays of BWE. Her slippers were flying faster than her f***s, and I absolutely love her for that 🤣

🦇 4. When she clapped back at Cassian without any hesitation

I met Cassian’s gaze, if only because having Rhysand defend me might very well make me crumble a bit more. And maybe it made me as mean as an adder, maybe I relished being one, but I said, “How the hell did you manage to survive this long without anyone killing you?”

A Court of Mist and Fury, Chapter 16

Going head to head with the General and Commander of the Night Court’s armies? Just an average Tuesday for Feyre Archeron 💅

🦇 5. When she told Nesta just how well she was adjusting to her new Fae body

I laid my hand flat on the table. “I can eat, drink, f**k, and fight just as well as I did before. Better, even.”

A Court of Mist and Fury, Chapter 24

There are only two words that properly sum up this scene: MIC DROP 🎤

🦇 6. When she faced down Lucien and the Spring Court sentinels

I said to Lucien, low and quiet and as vicious as the talons that formed at the tips of my fingers, as vicious as the wondrous weight between my shoulder blades, “When you spend so long trapped in darkness, Lucien, you find that the darkness begins to stare back.”

A Court of Mist and Fury, Chapter 47

Feyre literally brought the big wingspan energy in this scene, it was truly iconic. Also, this is one of my absolute favorite quotes of the entire series 🙌

🦇 7. When she served the most powerful High Lord soup to accept the mating bond

And I said, “You love me?” Rhys nodded. And I wondered if love was too weak a word for what he felt, what he’d done for me. For what I felt for him. I set the bowl down before him. “Then eat.”

A Court of Mist and Fury, Chapter 54

I’m sorry, but if serving the most powerful High Lord in Prythian a measly bowl of leftover soup to show you accept him as your mate is not the literal definition of BWE then I don’t know what it is 😆

🦇 8. When she told Tamlin exactly what she’d do to him if he took her from Rhysand

Molten rage poured into me. I hissed at Tamlin, “If you bring me from here, if you take me from my mate, I will destroy you. I will destroy your court, and everything you hold dear.”

A Court of Mist and Fury, Chapter 64

Everyone argues that Feyre took it too far in her destruction of the Spring Court and I’m over here like, hello? She gave him an actual play-by-play warning, and he chose to ignore it 🤷‍♀️

🦇 9. When she made Ianthe look like a total fraud

I let my glow spread, until it, too, rippled from Lucien’s bowed form. A knight before his queen. When I looked to Ianthe and smiled again, I let a little bit of the wolf show.

A Court of Wings and Ruin, Chapter 4

This was such a petty but peak power move by our undercover High Lady and is easily one of my favorite parts of her plot to destroy Tamlin’s court (cause F**K YOU IANTHE 🤬)

🦇 10. When she called Tamlin out for being a w***e for Hybern

“You sold us out to get me back,” I said, low and cold. “You whored us out to Hybern. Forgive me if I am now trying to regain some of what we lost.” Claws slid free. A feral growl rippled out of him. “They hunted down and butchered those humans for sport,” I went on. “You might be willing to get on your knees for Hybern, but I certainly am not.”

A Court of Wings and Ruin, Chapter 5

Feyre absolutely ATE with this one. She set Tamlin up perfectly with this epic insult knowing exactly how he would respond, and boy did he deliver 👏

🦇 11. When she casually drops the bomb of her being the High Lady of the Night Court

“I am High Lady of the Night Court,” I said quietly to them all. Even Eris stopped sneering. His amber eyes widened, something like fear now creeping into them. “There’s no such thing as a High Lady,” one of Lucien’s brothers spat. A faint smile played on my mouth. “There is now.” And it was time for the world to know it.

A Court of Wings and Ruin, Chapter 13

Feyre literally stopped an all-out massacre between some of the most powerful Fae in all of Prythian while casually dropping a major truth bomb like it was nothing. Can you say BWE? 💁‍♀️

🦇 12. When she stood up to Tamlin at the High Lord’s meeting

He smiled as if he knew precisely what memory it triggered, but said to my mate, “If you hadn’t stolen my bride away in the night, Rhysand, I would not have been forced to take such drastic measures to get her back.” I said quietly, “The sun was shining when I left you.”

A Court of Wings and Ruin, Chapter 44

This line is severely underrated IMO. With just 8 little words, Feyre made it crystal clear to each and every person in that room that it was HER choice to leave- now that’s some High Lady s**t 👑

Final Thoughts…

Looking at all these moments together, it’s crystal clear that our leading lady has been serving up major BWE since day one.

But what makes Feyre so special isn’t just her ability to capture immortal beings or casually diss them on sight—it’s that she’s been doing it since she was a human with nothing but her wits and determination.

The wings may have come later, but the wingspan energy? That’s been there all along.
